I’ve been hoping for the past few months that we would get ice, or at least snow down here in Oklahoma, and Monday afternoon we got hit with an ice storm. Classes were cancelled throughout the day on Monday, but they officially canceled everything starting at 1:30pm and later. Tuesday they canceled everything altogether, which allowed a group of us to play some D&D, and today everything before 11:30 was canceled. I was hoping they would cancel everything again today because there is still ice on the ground, but I’m not going to complain since I had a nice two day vacation. Here’s to more snow or ice in February and March!

I finally received my luggage last night after battling with the airline and delivery company for 5 days straight. First they knew where it was, then they didn’t, then they told me it was on its way here and then they had no clue again. I just wanted them to make up their minds and stick to one solid answer. If you’ve found it, great, send it on over, if you didn’t know where it was, stop playing around and reimburse me for my possessions. I do have it now and am greatly relieved. It looks like I’ll be shipping my luggage from now on.

After waiting for a day and a half and hearing nothing about my luggage, I had my dad call and speak to one of the managers for Northwest. After battling with them for over an hour and getting no further information other than, “We don’t know where the luggage is, but we think it’s still in Detroit”, they finally found it today and it’s on its way to Memphis. It should be delievered tonght, and it’s about time.

I launched my first personal website today. I use simplicity and cleaness to execute any of my designs, whether it be photography, graphic design or web design, I believe that minimalism is just as effective as being flashy. I’ve been working on adding other pages to it, but I’m not going to update my site for quite a while. I want this design to stick around and gain interest before I add other content for the world to look at. I was surprised at how fast I was able to put this website together. Overall, I think it took me around 3-4 hours to get everything in order. When I have inspiration for a design it doesn’t take me long to carry it out, or at the very least, start coming up with a multitude of design ideas. I used to hate web design more than any other design area, but the more I play around with it, the more I like it and the more I better understand it. Here’s to designing more websites in the future!

After debating whether or not to let me hair grow out again, I decided that I like my hair short better. I’ve been wanting to see what my hair looks like when it’s grown out longer, but every time I get to a certain point in growing it out, I decide to get it cut. It’s a lot more managable when it’s short and I usually don’t have to put any extra effort into fixing it up. Maybe one day I’ll actually be able to get past this point and let it do its thing.

Testing out the Whrrl application for the iTouch. I didn’t like it much when I had it on my cell phone because of all of the updates. At the time, I didn’t have unlimited text messaging, which was a problem, but the usability aspect of the service needed a lot of work in my opinion. Doing a quick run through on the iTouch it seems like a great application once I get more friends. I added my apartment location to the Whrrl database and that’s where I currently reside. I’m hoping the friends I invited accept so I don’t get bored with this application.

Setting up a new blog so I can have a link to add to my website.
